Waiting for them to send prices etc. If you look them up on google you will get the wrong email address. Will post all relevant info when we receive it.
If any one has any other questions or suggestions please let us know and we will see what we can do. Entry forms have been emailed to everyone who's email address we had. hard copies are about to be sent to everyone else who has entered the Nats in the last 2 years. a copy is also posted on this forum and hopefully the VCV web site will also have a copy posted there soon.

Re: 2010 VAN NATS
Please don't get cranky at me and this may seem a silly question:
But if it's a back to basic's idea, why isn't it at Albury/Wodonga because that's where i thought it all started from?

Re: 2010 VAN NATS
The problem with Wodonga is the show society don't want us. Albury we did not look at. Also we have decided that if we are going to do it we will do it close to home, like everyone else does these days. We are sick of getting home Friday night then having to drive 4-8 hours to a venue to be up at the crack of dawn knocking on doors trying to organise everything on Saturday morning before the shops shut, then coming home. Port Augusta Nats, Ken From Perth, organised the event basically over the phone and had several issues with not actually being close enough to have full control over what was happening so this is not an option. Also as the Nats were in Albury Wodonga for so long people got sick of the same area (we don't care cos its the Nats and the venue is not important) so it was decided to move it around, Fres & Russell did Pambula but had a local Brett helping them out, we then went to Port Augsta, then we did Pambula again then it just continued moving. Everyone else was smart enough to organise it in their own back yard so we are doing the same. It makes it alot easier when the venue is only 45 from home. Also the fact that the venue has all the facilities we require we do not have to organise as much making it easier for us, especially regarding security and insurance. Hopefully this answers your question?

Would like to know if bottles of spirits/wine can be purchased at bar., as you cant buy a pre mix Fruit tingles, would like to make up my own, and Julian being (non drinker) can he bring his own mineral water ??????
probably sounds petty, but just wanting to find out before (in case) we have to smuggle it in hahahaha
Happy that something is taking shape, and dont forget to ask for help, I'm good at welcoming people and not bad with a pole
Hi Kathy, Badger is looking over my shoulder... he was not aware that you drink Fruit Tingles???? So does he.... looks like you will have a date at next year's Nats LOL

Anything non alcoholic you can take in, no problems. Anything else you want, e.g Vodka and blue Curacao you can get in a glass over the counter if you let us know in advance that you want, e.g.Vodka and Blue Curacao.

Re: 2010 VAN NATS
For all those people coming from the North, we have spoken to Tony and Trine at the Mangoplah Hotel and they are happy to be an official 2010 Van Nats stop over point. Mangoplah is a little bit out of the way but being old Vanners they are happy for any one to stop over on their way to or from the Nats. A lot of the older Vanners know Tony and Trine and where to find them but for those who do not a map is attached. They also have some accomodation if required. I believe the phone number for enquiries is (02) 6928 5702. Off street parking is available out the back.

Re: 2010 VAN NATS
well i had some interest yesterday at the MEA comp and gave out 7 Entry forms... hope to hand out lots this coming weekend at the South Coast Nats & the Kiama run.
Re: 2010 VAN NATS
Thanks Daz, keep up the good work.
Also we have had another queryregarding the cost to enter the Nats. Just in case anyone missed it the cost to enter is basically what it costs us. The kids prices are exactly what we have to pay and we marked the adult prices up about $5-7 per head to cover the other costs, e.g. additional toilets to go in the camp area so you will not have to walk all the way in the middle of the night, trophies, etc. In actual fact the cost to enter is slightly less for a single adult than it was last year (without meals), the couples and kids prices are more unfortunately. Also pins, patches, stickers, t-shirts etc are not included in the price this year as we get a lot of people who complain about these things, and they just add to the cost. Some will be available if ordered with pre-entry.

If we want to go back that far we should go all the way back to to the beginning at Halls Gap where there were no showers and virtually no toilets. The show was park the Vans on the local football oval. No goody bags, no organised events, no security, no public liability insurance issues, no kids biz, no power, no admin let alone admin buildings news letters, & programs, no pins, patches, stickers, stubby holders, coffee cups, wine glasses, not even an auction. Just roll up drink, party and go home to recover. A least that is what I am told, very few memories from that far back and a lot of wasted brain cells.

Re: 2010 VAN NATS
Yep, it sure was. this is also one of the reasons we think the Wasteland Halls Gap run on the Queens Birthday weekend is such a success because it has not changed, except we don't have a show and shine. Real basic Van run with no luxuries, except what you bring your self.

Re: 2010 VAN NATS
To all those people who were chasing sponsorship packages we hope to send them out in the next day or 2, sorry for the delay but we have had to make a few changes on the run to accommodate a potential major sponsor. This has also been a hold up with the artwork. if you would like a sponsor package outlining what you get for how much please let us know and we will foward one on to you.
Entries are coming in, however not as quickly as we would like. most of the powered sites are now gone. As the Melbourne GP is the week before Easter we are not sure if anyone will be staying in town from Interstate. If so we might have a factory tour organised for either the Tuesday or Wednesday before the Nats for anyone interested in the only company presently making panel vans.
Hopefully more details will follow in the next few days.
