Re: Rear drum brakes!!
SORRY, i thought you ment stuff like electric windows, A/C, Cruise control, power steering.
ABS,SRS - possible but a REAL pain in the bum to set up.
IRS - possible but a bit of chassis work will need to be done.

ah yeh i hear ya!
Well im a rating one and only just rolled into someones arse once before but in my 6 yrs of driving, nothing clean slate...i hope to keep it that way...especially with the arrival of my van i will be EXTRA careful ..
The van is rock solid unlike the stato which just cracked the front bumper cuz its plastic, and no shit, i just touched the car in front!

yup, i know what you mean, in the olden days people used to actually learn how to drive a car, nowadays the cars do do it for you, rear sensors, rear video etc etc etc, most don't know the dimensions of their vehicles, we're a lazy throw away society - so if there's some of us that can keep history and the classics going - why not, and old vehicles aren't necessarily unsafe, did you know that airbags can maim you, or even kill you depending on the impact?

Ok well yes you are right! excited about the van...I hate waiting...
I know everyone is saying, save for the 308...I hear if you turbo a 202 it rips the doors off a v8
What about a 30 camshaft and 350 holley carby on the 202?

Re: Rear drum brakes!!
Need the torque Loz.
A turbo 202 in an LJ torrie will blow apart a v8 of similar size- the EZY 10Z boys will show you that.
But a turbo 202 in a fat panelvan will need the torque of a v8 to pull better times.

And in the olden days, in the old cars, the speed limit was 100 mph equal to 160klms, and we did our best to comply with the laws of the day , especially on the highways Our old FJ would squeal trying to get to 90 mph, (140klms) she was flat out
And they reckon the young ones of today are hoons

Re: Rear drum brakes!!
Scott is right you can tinker with the 202 cam, change heads, put fast carbies on etc or you can just bolt in a 253/308 and get into it with the V8 rumble out the back. Don't get me wrong there are many Panelvans out there with nice 6 cylinders and I have owned two, only to change them to 8's eventually, I'm an eight fan all the way. There's not a bone in my body that wishes I kept them a 6. There's not many around whom pull out an 8 to put a 6 in, but plenty that go the other way? Whichever way you go, you'll have plenty of style

I`m not too familiar with the holden sixes but I`ve got a Ford Fairmont with a worked 4 ltr and a Fairlane with a stock 5 ltr and there is no way you could compere the two i would rather drive the Fairlane 5ltr over the 4 ltr any day

I still suggest Whispering into Wizard's ear....
He's the one with the spanners on the Holden 6.
(Plus he may have a spare cam or 2 lying around with some other go fast parts...)
