Hi Soundman, thanks for the compliment on the rims, the effort was worth it . My steels are quite old, 1980’s I think. By the sounds of it, you have visited my thread on the Transit Forum here in the UK already, as for my bumper, it will give something to do over the winter with everything else, although thats not what I said at the time.
Unfortunately even rusty old rims fetch good money, £100 would be cheap and are often closer to £200, but there are now a few off-the-shelf 5 stud Alloys for sale starting around £400 or so, but 6 stud!!! You have to sell the family silver, house and children to have some custom made, not sure anyone would go that far... hey Daz
This is the best thread I can think of for adapters http://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=15807 but they are still talking about 5 to 5 or in a couple of cases, 5 to 4 stud alloys (not recommended). It would be worth asking a question there for sure and one of the guys will do you a computer model ready for cutting. It may have already been asked about a 6 stud conversion, but I haven’t seen one.
There are mentions of welding up land rover wheels and redrilling them with the right nut camber etc, but I can't find them off hand.

yes they are had to cut the holes out bigger it is just sitting in there at the moment have to take it out and turn it around thanx wizard

Hey Wizard - that just looks soooooooooooo good, luv the sparkle-larkle-arkles....... Can't wait to see it finished... for a carport job, that has come really well. keep up the good work, luv the little mods too like the lights etc. You making up your own rubber surrounds then to fit the lights in? Just wondering cos there looks to be a bit of a gap as well...

the gap is the rubber surround / mount nah not really they just float there kidding they just push into the hole and the are supposed to hold them self in there thanx wizard

guess, suppose it should hold... used to have something similar on the VR wagon i had as in side indicators, but every now and then they popped back out again by themselves. You had to slam them back in again, but of course make sure you didn't dint the panel in doing so... now the wagon's dieded....

also just had another look, and i really really like the paint .... the sparkle/flecks are just amazing, really can't wait to see it in real life...
