Re: Show us your Van
Thanks Monk, if your local to me we should catch up, It was a good outcome at the Hazelwood show as my van won 2nd place peoples choice out of the ten Trophies they had, Its so funny talking to people at car shows as I have just sold my SS Hatch Torana and the different reaction from the Torana to my Van is unreal. Just about every one has a story or good Mammery or is that memory of a panelvan in there life. The best part of a car show is watching peoples reactions to a van parked with the back open and a mattress in the back, I suppose thats normal for you but having just finished my van, Its all new to me after 20 odd years of not owning a van, cheers Andrew, VANDIL.

Re: Show us your Van
Just lovin this thread Just encourages me to build a garage in the neighbours garden
Re: Show us your Van
na its not the garage is only L 7.6 x W 4.2 x Wall 2.4 mtrs and the carport is only L 6 x W4.2 x Wall 3 mtrs
Re: Show us your Van
Luckily the shed is a fair size to work in, even if it is half way down the garden. Waiting to get the V6 home, still havent got a engine stand, although I have been painting ancilleries and wrapping them up for next year. Managed to find some power steering, just got to have the lines made and Im bidding on a few bit on ebay . All this with wanting to gut the interior... May strip the front cabin area, sound proof and refit and leave the back untill later.
The great thing about these forums is, the ideas, I just love surfin this forum, there are so many cool projects and stuff you'll never see in this country.

Hey AlanN nice wheels... ouch about your bumper... I too came a little close to kerb contact a while back though with a big-arse bullbar (Kangaroo Repellant device mounted in front of the radiator) hiding the stock bumper all i got was a wonky bullbar that i can see but most wouldn't pick unless it was pointed out.
What i am wondering is...
What method are you guys (poms...) using for putting Rims on your transits. - i've heard of adaptor plates being used, and also swapping the stubs for different patterned ones.
reason i ask is Daz seems to be quite proud of the fact that he owns the only pair of rims to fit VG transits in our fine land. it seems most down here hold little hope as adaptor plates are pretty much out of the question as far as legalities are concerned, and different stubs would require a lot of research into specifics and also some time off the road or $pending cash to make it happen.
have been able to find rims for a little Van (see left) though not my full size one.
