Vans on the street

i was looking for the model railway there. and you drive thru the wrong area to get there. and they all watch you

i know that, went through one area there and had heaps looking at the Menace and then about 3 cars loaded up and followed me for about 2 hours up the Newell then one of the cars ran out of fuel or broke down the others stopped to help them, glad i had just filled up my 105 litre tank.... lol

i took the pic of the silver sandman (with the pipes through the front guards ) in Rockhampton QLD in late 70's...was rough around the edges but man it looks tuff..and the pipes were hooked up..!!!

Seen this morning at Yatala.. had to race off to work so couldn't chat long, but was a sweet lookin HZ with HJ single lite front.

nice now thats a clean van

Here's a north Queensland van ( the owner's are from Ingham) seen in the street machine display at the recent Townsville 400


The van had been sprayed (including painted stripes) but despite this was very original and the sills and gutters are among the cleanest/straightest I have seen.

a mates pv finally back on the rd after many years off the rd paint is 17 yrs old.

Number plate looks familiar, it wasn't originally blue with tunnel rams from out Tooraddin way was it?

nah.

the same guy has had it since the 80's it used to be yellow with primer patches.

used to be at the dandy drags and down the highway every weekend.

been off the road for a while but just came back on last week.

That van used to belong to John Evans (Tangerine Dream) It was originally Purple with flames like the Mambo van (as he painted that). He sold this one about a year ago, will try to find a pic of what it used to look like.

this van will be featured on the tv series killing time which will be airing some time this year

i would love to have coffee with john evans one day...

Good luck trying to hold him down for 10 minutes but you can always give him a call

saw this for sale in Albury, nice van but had a few rust spots

This is the lowest van i have ever seen been driven on the road, looked awsome
