OK Here are some more update pics!
Up in the air!
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_083a
Needed to cut some rust out and weld some patches in the windscreen area.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_084a-1
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_086a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_088a
Roof stripped back to bare metal, treated and painted with epoxy etch primer.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_091a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_092a
Start working on the lower quarter.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_093a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_094a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_095a
When I stripped the lower quarter back I noticed there was a panel welded over part of the inner section, removed that and found this!
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_096a
Bent up a repair panel out of 1mm sheet.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_098a
Cut out the rusty section.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_099a
Will need to patch these areas as well.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_100a
Hammered in a rough profile to match and welded the repair panel in.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_101a
There wasn't much of the lower wheel arch left.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_102a
Made up a new piece and welded in and ground back.

Next on the agenda is replacing the drivers side lower rear quarter and making the inner a mirror image to the passenger side, I bought a couple of panels off a guy on ebay who makes rust replacement sections.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_110a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_107a
All this section was a chunk of bog!
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_108a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_109a
Started cutting back to fit the new panels.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_111a
Looks like the rear beaver needs replacing as well, I have been toying with the idea to fit a wagon rear beaver!

Thanks for the comments,
Back into working on the T,
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_122a
Fabricated a rhs section for the rusted piece that the beaver is welded to.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_123a
It will be replacing this piece.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_124a
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_125a
A couple of different views.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_126a
Welded in the replacement lower side section to make it even on both sides.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_127a
Another view also a bit of a hole to fill from a fair bit of rust I cut back.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_133a
Next I un-stitched the rear quarter panel for better access for repairs and for my replacement panel.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_128a
A NOS Quarter Panel.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_134a
Need to fill in the gap from the replacement panel.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_135a
Cover panel stitched in.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_136a
Fabbed a section to tie the support to the panel.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_137a
Welded in.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_140a
Patched the section in the wheel tub.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_139a
Welded in a new piece for the inner for the lower section of the wheel arch.
The Zed is Dead - Page 2 HT_141a
Decided to go with the original colour which can be seen in the last pic "Oasis Green"
Cheers
Rick
