Re: The Zed is Dead
hey james
thanks mate
The zed was totally rusted out the seams had gone and the plenum chamber as well.
I started an attempt to fix it, but when I delved deeper the rust was in places that I couldn't really get at.
Cheers
Rick

Re: The Zed is Dead
I'm Back!!!!
Here is an update to the T!!!!!!
Valance panel removed.
Vent cover panel removed.
Donor panel.
Donor panel unpicked
Vent cover soda blasted and painted with POR 15 both sides
Valance panel soda blasted and inside painted with POR 15.
Few rust holes to be patched.
Holes patched and welded.
Patches sanded back, removed all the surface and painted with POR 15.
Vent cover welded on.
Now to strip the firewall back to bare metal.
Firewall stripped and all holes that won't be used are patched and welded.
All the patches sanded back.
Painted POR 15 in where the K-Frame mounts. Sikaflexed around the welds and seams.
Valance panel welded on and firewall roughly primed ( was a bit cold when I primed it, so it will need to be sanded back in a few spots).
Sikaflexed the seams.
Next on the agenda is a Rotisserie!!!!!
Steel for the rotisserie.
Fist step welded up.
