35th Australian Van Nationals 2010 ???
Well I'm not scared to ask the big question...
Where are the Nationals for next year?
Many bits and pieces got thrown around at the Titles, but i still had no clear cut answer when i left...
Daz & crew what's the verdict? Geelong again? or possibly Albury / Wodonga?
Or any others that the VCV would like to elaborate on?
Cheers in Advance.... free_styler1 (Allan)

I could live with Mid NSW North Coast... that's fine... just narrow it down to a specific town please.

I nominate Aggro as the event organiser.
Lets all put our hands together for Aggro.

Newy would be pretty sweet... definitely a vanning hot spot so i rekon Agro would have access to an arsenal of troops to help out...

At least Port Macquarie is closer than Warrnambool for the Queenslander contingent but Port Mac is a lot longer to come for the WA contingent, the weather would be better in NSW (at easter) with the NO RAIN policy in Vic at the moment,

Re: 35th Australian Van Nationals 2010 ???
yeah i think Qldrs are quietly rejoicing in the floods and cyclones a bit... (pissed off about the moreton oilslick mind-you). made for a very wet Byron at easter and the wet hit as far south as coffs.... Wonder what the weather in Newy was like? most of the locals would've been in geelong.
sounds almost as central as you can get in 2010 doesn't it? I rekon newcastle has the troops. all they need is a fearless leader...
(Lt. Commander Agro does have a ring to it... )

Maybe you should seriously consider it Agro, looking at this site there's plenty of guys from your club in and around Newcastle to organise the van nationals. Why not put something back into the hobby/sport for once?

In a word.
NO!!
There are a lot more people in the vanning scene who know more then what i do, and have been to more nats that what i have, to run one.

Re: 35th Australian Van Nationals 2010 ???
Whilst we discuss the pro's and con's of the last nats, and compare it to previous Nats, the basic question remains - where will the next nats be held?
Until someone or their mates/friends comes forward, then it looks like that it wont be held. Unfortunately this is the reality due to various reasons eg costs, lead-up time, insurance etc etc.
I leave you with a thought. Is this the future of vanning?
Will the premier vanning event in the van calendar revert to a long weekend away for some vanners, without a show n shine??
(I am not putting up my hand to run the next Nats as I am wrong person for this)

By the looks of it (on the VCV website) the 2010 nats will be in Vic again but will just have to wait as to where.
