Re: Show us your Van
yes i am painting it and as the last job shows i am no pro but am willing to give it ago at least if there is anything wrong with it it is my fault cant blame anyone else and havent paid out a large fortune for the job and as the old saying goes you only get what you pay for and where you see it sitting in the photos in the carport that is where it will be done like last time this time i am using high pressure low volume gravity feed gun set from repco was in their fathers day catalogue less than $70.00 was doing the tailgate on the weekend couldnt figure out why the flake wasnt showing up like when i did the bumpers and mirrors used a different gun on them the new guns have a filter in the bottom of it and was straining out all the flake and metallic lets say they wont be bothering me again thanx wizardAGRO wrote:Are you painting it yourself? (if so high or low pressure gun)?

AGRO wrote:High pressure low volume gravity fed.i dont know if you are supposed to because i use a 2.5hp and with a 40lt tank which i bought from mitre 10 about 6 years ago seems to work i have tried different guns on it as i have painted about 5 or 6 cars with it and years ago when i was alot younger we owned a hg sedan which we used to show i painted it venetian red with wildfire super x flake added to it and we had recieved alot of positive comments about the paint job but little did anyone know i painted it with a cig little beaver alot of the finished job look was achieved by what a friend had showed me on how to block it down prior to buffing as all my cars are cut back and buffed by hand dont like using the buffer to scared to burn the paint i just have to remember not to rush it like i normally do thanx wizard
