Hi.

Its great to see vanning back in full force like it was through the 1970s.Eddie Ford created a magazine to cater for the demand.A lot of businesses started up because of that magazine.Fast forward.......

I thought that as a forum of owners/previous owners/enthusiasts would could use this forum to help magazine publishers cater for a specific van only magazine.We could come up with ideas on …

Isaw this on facebook and it seeems to be true, next time you'r getting fuel take a camera with you now only put 1 litre in then take a pic' of the bowser is the price correct? Post your pic's and locations

Vanrat - anyone remember the history?

Hi all,

On the Sinbin forums there was a thread on Vanrat with posts and info by the guy who bought it off Steve Abbott when the guy was 17 or so, I remember he mentioned he bought it without the 454 and it had a 308 or similar fitted.

Van swap meet? Interested?

I thought about the various types of swap meets there are for various hobbies,etc and there are car part swap meet as well.I thought,why not have a swap meet for all things to with vans? Anyone and everyone who wants to buy/swap/sell van parts,vans,etc can attend and participate in a van swap meet.

Stalls could also be set up like the spare parts retailers,magazine publishers,etc.Hot and cold …

Van Muster? Anyone interested?

We all know that every year there is a ute muster in the NSW town of Denilliquin but how about a van muster? American van magazines.What were they?

I remember back in the 1970s when I was a teenager looking through the newsagent in West Lakes Mall (Adelaide) at various van magazine.There was "Custom Van & Trucks" and Van Wheels and then there were a few American magazines.Vans that were chopped,sectioned and extended and so on.What were those magazines called?

Best engine conversion in a van?

I thought I'd post this topic after seeing so many vans with a variety of engine conversions over the years.

My favourite is "Alley Cat",the Holden van with a Jaguar V12 engine.It was good to see something different.Is this van still out there somewhere? I remember seeing it in "Custom Vans & Trucks" with a V8 then in a later edition of the magazine with the V12.
