What stage is ya van @ for the Nats????

Where is everyone at with there Van's for the NAts???

As you can see mine is done too the bare bones...

Painted the chassis this week, will get engine stripped/ painted this week as well.
Drop it in, hook up exhaust systems.
Finish pulling down the shell, make a start on the engine bay, then drop the shell.

Times a ticking

mine is, well, probably going to stay the way it is ... so i guess it's ready now... i don't think i have the time to get the interior done..

Well mine is without a gearbox and the bloke that was meant to have a box for me is looking like he is stuffing me around so i'm not looking that great at this stage but fingers crossed.

i am looking for at least a five speed this bloke that is meant to be fixing me up with one is meant to be getting me a 6 speed but i'm starting to think he wants it for his convertible HR

Pencil me in for 2011....

My run-around van is almost on the road... Fired the engine up today and paint next week (I hope) but the serious van is gonna take some time (and a tattslotto win would help)

Definitely get there for a look.... should have my runaround van on the road by then...

Mine's going backwards at the moment and time is running out FAST!!!
Interior to be done.
Paint to be redone.
Oil leaks to stop.
Just to name a few

mine is in a mates shed half in Under coat.
waiting for funds to arrive for a new interior, new front end and few minor touch ups. will only be in black under coat for the nats and even though it wont be finished, im pumped to get my first Nats under my belt.

Done:
* Front interior although still looking for an orange spider gear knob. They are well and truly out of favour these days. I have a red and a yellow one from days past. Should have bought one in every colour back in the eighties. Has any one seen these at swap meets?
* Body
* Engine - Well it goes OK anyway

To be done b4 Easter:
* Windows getting welded over - next week
* Interior in the back - hopefully after windows done

Not doing yet:
* Engine bay
* Power steering fitted - don't trust it not to leak everywhere.

May be pushing it for the back interior but hoping that the welding and paint go well and quick so I can get it to the trimmers in time.

Well it is a little closer now... Motor now starts

My inner and outer guards are off, doors off and getting rubbed back.
So i'm 1 step forward then 2 steps back.

Going down tomorrow to get my drop pipes chopped off, since i lowered it its rubbing on the salsbury, i cant lift the exhaust or it will hit the quarters so i'll re-direct them infront of the rear wheels.

need to fit a radio ( no tunes )

need to make a new rear floor and throw some carpet down to tidy up the rear.

strip paint off front guards and splash some paint on them or put the original guards back on with matching scabby paint.

Paint rim centres.
