Re chrome or replace ???
Hey guys, any body out had there steel rims re-chromed?
Was it worth the money or could you have replaced them with new ones for the price?
I Ask because i dug out and old set of 12 slotters and theve got light rust pitting on them and even after they got the old soapy steel wool treatment they still show a little pitting.
they'd be ok for a daily driver but I want to see my pretty face in them.
So the question is can you get a new look when rechroming without paying for the chrome guys new house.

i think you will find that to chrome them they will need to pull the centres out and reweld them in after chroming.. that i have been quoted $300.00 plus per rim.
