Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
Hi James
I contacted them about 18 months ago for an adaptor plate, for my Turquiose van, and they didn't do them anymore.
I'll give them another try and see what happens.

Agro l would search for Con who used to own Carac in Dandenong & was a Judge of Street Machine shows
l been to his house in Doveton many years back & he would get you anything.
Pat Faye who you could contact through Daz, cause l can never seen to get Pat on the phone. may help you as he knows Con well.
unfortunately l lost contact with Con, l cant even say if he is still alive but would hope he is.

Aw C'mon Craig, you never heard the saying "whinging pomms"
Whinging= whineing, as in a whining diff.

there not a strong Diff by any stretch of the imagination , but if your building a period custom van they are the only choice i want to put one in XRATED because there perfect for a "show pony" & look great chromed up

Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
I agree with Al, they look awsome on under but not as tough as a 9inch or salisbury.
was very popular in the late eighties under holdens of any shape but these days if you could afford it and like the look the current irs under the commodores would be a better option maybe????

Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
I like the Jag one over the Commodore one because it doesn't need the arms which go from the diff to the body.
Where as the jag one mounts to the adaptor plate and that is all.
But thanks for your idea anyway.

Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
Spoke to a guy today who helped install the Jag Diff into Street Legal.
He can make and weld in the adaptor plate to mount the diff onto, as well as the brackets for the forward arms going to the chassis.
He can also supply a diff as well.
About $1300 would see it done.
It's a lot of money for something that looks fantastic but doesn't really do any more then a standard diff can do.

Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
The Jag rears really look great all chromed up. Debate has gone on for years about how good and strong they are. So many show vans and street machines and rods put them in which have motors that are blown, Some of these do go hard and some are show ponies, so obviously they are reasonably strong, infact i have never heard of any one blowing one up. My one in the bedford has been great but you have to make sure you get the right ratio, at 100kmh and in 5th gear mine sits on 4 grand. As for handling, they are so smooth and comfortable, thats the best thing about em. $1300 is not a bad price for supply and fit, go for it .

Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
Does the $1,300 include an Engineer's Certificate?
You'll need one if you're keeping it Registered.
I beleive Adrian Seelenmeyer out of Castlemain still makes the Adaptor Kits for Jag Diff into Holden. I don't know the $ yet.
regards
Rusty!

Re: Jag rear adaptor plate
Hi
Thanks for the replies.
I never even thought about an engineers cert.
Did they have them in the late 80's early 90's, because if they didn't the diff may have been installed back then. (if you know what i mean).
