Southerns Cruise Nite Knox City Tuesday 13/1/09

For those in the vicinity and with the inclination, the Southerns Cruise Nite at Knox City Shopping Centre will be on next Tuesday nite 13.1.09 . Roll up around 6pm, goes till dark, generally around 8 - 8:30pm people start heading off again. It's a good basic display, lots of variety in the form of vans, street machines, bikes and even boats if they show up. Entry is gold coin donation. No prizes or awards, just socialising, networking, chit-chat and lots of stuff to see. If you can, come with your van and support the VCV and promote the Van Nationals . Any queries, call or pm me.

Hey Maz, count me in for the night, just turn the rain off as last time it took me about 3 hours to clean the van when I got home, cheers Andrew( Vandil).

I will be there around 6pm, Mandy P, VanDad & crew etc. may be there as well as well as a few others. So hopefully we can get a few vans there.

Looks like it definitely won't rain... according to the weather report tonite it's going to be 37deg C on Tuesday, but don't let that put you off.... come and join in anyway, should have a great lot of vehicles show up.. hot summer nites, panel vans... mmmmm, memories.....

well, it's currently 33deg, should still get to 37deg.... let's see how many show up. Just been outside to the shops and it feels a lot hotter than 33 already. TGFAC (thank god for air conditioning)

i think there will be a few with puddles.... so glad i've got air con....
fixed the air con in the bargain box as well....

We did it in 35deg..... quite a few vehicles but only 4 vans.... oh alas it was apparently too hot for some.... Below are the pics, lots of people, not a lot of special stuff, some that were at P/island were also there. And Andrew has a special story to tell, but i'll let him do that... just make sure next time you see him, ask him how his old "friend" is.

The orange van just rolled up. I went over, introduced myself and requested him to park next to me so we could have a van line up.... He's just got the van to buzz around in, probably won't keep it.
