newby to the site

Hi all Im new to the site .Ive got an 82 xd with liftgate and phase 5 kit with fairlane front .gas six as its my daily driver .Im just looking for ideas and llike to see all the vans coming back.looking for ideas as to what color for the old girl and some inteirior ideas .cheers jon

Welcome to the site Jon, you'll find heaps of photos on here to give you ideas.... but really, the van is an extension of you, so depending on your personality and what you like.... will result in how radical your van is . Where abouts are you based?

Its a bit quiet on here!.but a quicky from me as Ive done another trans in the van and its only a six and not a power house. So ive bitten the bullet and brought all the gear to convert to a 5 speed man .So at least I will be back on the road.Does this site have ideas for backs of vans section or pics anywhere? cheers magnum

Hi, yeah, it is a little quiet on here.... it's up and down with so many other forums as well as facebook... it's hard to keep up sometimes... Presume your talkin interiors? there's a number of pics on www.vanning.org.au, the vcv website, there's also quite a bit on f/book... (lol). There's also a fair bit on mysandman.com.au, yes a holden site, but, it shouldn't matter if you're just looking for ideas. There's also quite a few pics on this forum as well... you'll just have to quietly have a looksy thru Your Ride and a few other categories. You could also do a search on Google Pics... that's how i found some ideas for door trims... hope this helps

welcome and i hope your van is back on the road soon and for interior ideas i buy custom vans and trucks and van wheels magazines off ebay. cheers

Hey cool I have plenty of time during the day to browse the sites as work can be a bit boring somedays .I managed to put bandaid on the trans but it will fail soon so just brought 5 speed for it and now just need a long w/end to fit it .I still have all my vans and trucks issues from when they were new so feeling a bit oldas I was around a bit then 60s child but love the vans then and now .great to see them on the way back .thanks magnum

You been out to the Knox Cruise nights??? Were out there quite a bit showing the flag for Vanning!

Got a couple (yeah! tongue in cheek!) of Falcons with tailgates over this way (Dandenong), Just about to redo the rear interior of my v8 XF in my profile pic. Still at the paper & pencil stage planning the next phase, then I'll start playing with the cardboard templates!!!

Yeah i think the front looks awsome and i also think it is good in white, suits it with the black grill and bumper.
Does it have flared guards as well? love to see more photos.

The old CV&T mags are the best for interior ideas, some of them also have archway measurements if you need it. Just let the mind go wild and even get ideas from different vans and mix together.
