Re: WANTED: Monza Front suit HJ to HZ Holden
Good luck Rusty.
I've been chasing one for ages.
Have tried numerous forums to no avail.
Saw one on EBAY about 6 months ago. Sent emails and asked for phone number, then it was taken off never to be seen again.
So if you find one send me the details as well.
Cheers

Thank you for trying - much appreciated.
I beleive that there is a place in Sydney with a Mould, but I haven't been able to track them down.

Re: WANTED: Monza Front suit HJ to HZ Holden
Het Rusty,
If it's the same mob that did the bobtail van wings in Blacktown, they shut down some years back and sold the moulds to "Fibremaster" as a bulk buy with all their other moulds.
Anything that Fibremaster saw of no value was chopped up and binned.
This is the story that I heard- don't know how much of it is true but it may give you a starting point.

Re: WANTED: Monza Front suit HJ to HZ Holden
Thanks Guys.
Freedom is/was the one. Now I remember, I remember Stu told me about them.
I'll keep my eyes and ears open. If I come up with anything spare I'll let you know.
I must say I just hate when you give stuff away that you think is going to a good cause only to find someone has thrown it away and you only gave it away because you thought they were going to use it.
regards

Re: WANTED: Monza Front suit HJ to HZ Holden
Thanks for all the leads Guys.
I wouldn't Flop the Front unless there is no longer a Mould available. Also need to check Copyright although the way they popped them out of various Business' in the 80's I'd say there wasn't one taken out.
Unfortunately the one on EvilBay is a 79-80 TransAm Front to fit HQ. Pity, it's 13 minutes to go and it looks like it will go real cheap.
But I do want to get a Monza Front.
Still I'm interested in anything that may come up.
regards

I thought if i was able to do one myself, it'd be slightly different so copyright wouldn't be an issue.
What is "Flop the front"?

Gidday Agro
Flop is Trade Talk for Copy.
I beleive that you have to make three changes to avoid Copyright, which should be pretty easy to do.
If you made your own from scratch, it shouldn't be a problem.

Re: WANTED: Monza Front suit HJ to HZ Holden
Ps. 4 last minute Bids on the HQ TransAm Front.
Went for $86.
Not a bad deal if it is in good nick.

Re: WANTED: Monza Front suit HJ to HZ Holden
If i can't get hold of one i may have to do it that way.
Rather not as i don't have the patience for it.
ALTHOUGH having said that if one comes up for the right $$ i'm sure we could organise something between us.

Two Heads are better than one.
If we are both looking it has to improve the odds.
