no one will be seeing it if i cant get it to go ordering new manifold today worked on it for hrs yesterday with the 2 mechanis from work still no good even tried another carby still no good so we are going to try the new manifold and see how that goes thanx wizard

it goes and it moves around the back yard i will be telling the engine rebuilder what i think of them when they open this morning one good thing about being in the spare parts business you eventually find some knowledgeable people it wasnt the manifold carby dissy or timing they had done the rockers up too tight and was holding half the valves open so there was vacuum to suck the fuel in at idle have got the bonnet on now a few little things to do and will probably take it for a drive on friday already have the neighbours from 2 houses down whinge to me about the van too noisey so thanx again for everyone who tried to help wizard

hopefully i will be working on the van this w/e see if i can get it to idle better when cold replacing rear shoes and centre h/brake cable and putting on the new rims and tyres 15x7 and 15x8 cragar polished eliminators we thought it was time for an update i might even swap speedo drive from the old hj ive got as the speedo is 20klms out van 100 taken from gps and the speedo 120 will do photos soon thanx wizard

had some good news last night it looks like we might have a nose cone it was found at tamworth a guy from here has another property up there so he is getting it sent down .had the diff housing chromed and the wiper vent done to top job. the wiper vent looks and feels much better than the exc one you buy he is now doing the bonnet hinges he actually pulls them apart to do them and then reassembles them will post photos later thanx wizard

I've always loved the look of the rear of your Van Steve, and the glovebox and inner guards have come up a treat! hey where did you get the blue crushed velvet on your console? I've been chasing that electric blue shade here in Brisbane but can only get a really light blue, a really dark blue or a splotchy mix of the two.

thanx for that, i will be glad when its back on the road,the velvet and the vinyl came from good old spotlight evey time we go to maitland we go there as a daughter makes jewellery to sell and thats where she gets the majority of her supplies from as we have nothing here to buy from thanx wizard

hopefully the van should be buffed on sunday it has been off the road since our trip home from kandos in january when all the rear wheel studs sheared off on one side.fitted a new f/g frnt nose full respray same colour more flake and blue pearl and had more chrome work done will post photos later thanx wizard

hi everyone, went to our local village fair (car show with extras) yesterday and there were some very nice cars there was somewhere between 250 and 300 and by sheer luck we actual took out peoples choice and a mate of ours took out best asian ,he has rodeo on air bags . there also was a restored x2 hd van there , apparently they only made them for 9 months not sure if it is true i only over heard that part of the conversation .will post some photos of what i took.thanx wizard
