Thanks to Agro and his info, I got onto the Rare Spares mob in Melbourne and have ordered the Hz Oil pressure sending unit, plus thread adaptor and possibly an extention as well. The unit screws into the block and the unit needs to clear the intake manifold which is about 3/4", which is why I may need the extention.

Once the parts arrive and I've confirmed all is working, I'll post up a list of the parts and their relevent part numbers in case someone else out there has a chevy donk in their HJ, X or Z and their gauge don't work.

I'm also chasing the 4 air vents that go into the HZ dash. Anybody got any they don't want?

yeah, they're ok at rare spares, i work 'round the corner from their bayswater store and they already know me by name.... seems I get a discount for just walking in. They're helpful and friendly, so far haven't had a bad experience with them. Not sure what the other stores are like. You can research bits on their website too with out calling, pricing is there as well.

Wanted. HQ dash pad, colour not an issue. Or anyone know were to get them repaired as mine is strait as, but the sun put a nice crack through the middle of it

Department of the Car Interior will repair yours any colour you want back to brand new!!!
You'll pay for it but there work is awesome...

Thanks. ive also seen ppl custom make the pads using your old one. Shaving it down and using fiberglass and is painted any colour as its no longer vinal. unless i customize everything it would look out of place not nessisaraly a bad thing

Nah this is completely original. Padded vinyl.....

theres a few on EvilBay ATM... the only black one needs a bit of a clean up and is missing a few clips, there are also a couple of grey ones...

I have one that came out a HX at home with no cracks or anything however will that suit a HQ?? if its what you need then i am happy to sell.

thanks ill get on there now. have also seen a uper tailgate at 99cents too happy bidding

yeh there was a few upper tailgates going cheap when i looked the other day... looked pretty rusty, but if you're close enough to avoid postage, you can't beat those kinda prices for a decent skin... good luck.

Still keeping an eye out for you Sam. Its always the way, you look and look and look and none for sale, then you get 1 and a better 1 comes after you bought that 1.

Have you tried on other sites, if im looking for a particular Holden i put out wanted posts on old holden sites, fastlane, all clasifieds, anywhere its free, get good responces from doing this, just a sugestion.

Has had work done on it for Roadworthy... not sure if it's what your looking for.

If The trim was alright Id give that windowless hq a go. The pic only seem to show surface rust. Id prob need
a few years too

Am planing it had 2 gas tanks donated 2 me today with some piping and a filler. hay what are the laws on gas tanks in other states apparantly I have to have a filler for every gas tank I install. Dont want to be cutting holes in my van. I would like to have 2 tanks to 1 filler cause my filler is were the fuel tank filler should be.

Use the stock filler and put the second one behind your rear numberplate on a hinge set up.

your gas installer should be able to help with legislation etc...
