2012 Van Nationals

Hello Vanners,

We can now confirm that we are going to put a proposal for the nationals to be held in Western Australia. Now that the VCV has announced that proposals can only be submitted at the Nats ( which i believe is no problem). We have notified the VCV of our intentions and they will mention it at their meeting.

We just wanted to give all vanners to think whether they would like to venture over our way and to vote for our proposal next year and to give them enough time to save and prepare if we win the Nationals.

Below is the email with some details that Fred sent to the VCV and he has spoken with Ian (Pres)

Hello Vanners
We would like to propose that the 2012 nats be held in West Australia.
The current idea is to hold them in Pinjarra which is approximately 80 Kms South of Perth and 20 kms inland from Mandurah.
At present we are talking to the Murray Shire Council who seem to be keen on the idea. If this goes ahead it will be in conjunction with MAX ( Murray Auto Extravaganza). MAX is a custom car / street machine show and shine that had it first event Easter 2010.

Hi Guys. I think that a nats in WA Will be GREAT. I will say now that you do have our vote at next year nats. We will start a savings account just for that now.

Hey guys.
I'm a WA boy and i spent 4 years doing up a unlicenced HQ panelvan and was hopeing to make it over east in 2011 for my first nats, however 4 months ago the same week i finally got my van licenced i broke my neck and became a quadraplegic.
Will now need to spend some time converting my van to hand controlled so will miss the 2011 nats.
I think having the 2012 nats in WA would be a awsome place to attend my first nats and a sweet place for other vanners to come and attend.
Got my vote for sure.
But if it goes ahead over east will still be there.

Na mate thats about the best i got, still in hospital at the moment so when i get out i'll be able to get some more pics and get stuck into my van

we have it worked out that if the Van Nats are in WA we will be over 2 weeks earlier for the Gazzanats WA then stay till the Van Nats then come home so we will do some site seeing as Dot & Tracey have never been to that side of OZ before nor have they ever been on such a big trip.. bring it on

Sorry for the delay but i will get some information up over the next couple of weeks.

We got stuck in Adelaide for 3 days due to gearbox failure in the van that need complete rebuild.

The cut off date for the meal option for entrants is 14th March as we need to confirm numbers with the caterers, all other entries will still be accepted after this date.
