regos going up

has anyone heard about the rego price increase (apparently nsw only ) as from the 1st of august, a mate just told me to register and green slip his v8 xt ford sedan will cost him well over $900.00 and thats in muswellbrook, the way he was talking some of the increase has to do with the weight of the vehicle might have to get a mini van or a gemini or move states van thanx wizard

dunno, but in vic it costs me $516 to register my van. it costs me $550 to register my little ol' corolla though... go figure

The NSW gov. is broke BUT, they have to keep there promises to rebuild road infrusructure in the Sydney CBD so why dont they just hike up the regos. but wait theres more. they are rolling out mobile speed cameras everywhere. what, you want more well wait there is more, why dont they remove the variable percentage from the speedo's so if your doing 1, thats right 1 klm over your going to receive a loverly big fine in the mail but it wont come with a free set of steak knives,No it comes with some demerit points.

I posted, on this very forum, a link to a petition to try and stop the rego increase thinking that we could do something to try and stop the increase along with nearly every other vehicle club,forum organization but it got very little responce so i guess most of the car driving population must be happy to pay the increase.

we are getting a ford festiva done and it will cost about $900 and that is a 4 cylinder
