Just a quick update on the planned trip to the biggest VAN Event on the planet. There are now
11 vanners from down under
confirmed to be attending the 40th US Van Nationals during July 2012. Another four (2 couples) from WA are considering being part of the once in a lifetime experience - 500 vans, 1500 vanners, bands every night, traders alley, plus some hot summer weather in the middle of July.
The location is yet to be decided (Feb 2011) but is likely to be on the eastern half of the country. So there will be plenty of opportunities to do the tourist thing in the cities of your choice. Internal flights are usually well priced, especially on Tuesdays.
For you big van owners, this is the closest you'll get to "van heaven"

Word is now out from the C of C's. 2012 (40th) Nationals Truckin will be held 11th - 15th July in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This is about 2 hours drive north west of Chicago. As we'll probably fly via LA, then the logical thing to do either prior to, or after the eVant would be to cruise route 66 for one of the legs. Should take about 8 days so makes for about a three week trip all up. Very Happy Very Happy

Have just sold a vehicle but have to finish doing RWC jobs on it over the weekend so won't be there sorry
