NSW Van Council
Okay Ladies & Gentlemen
It's about time we organised ourselves with a representative Body.
We need two to three Members plus 2 Proxies from ECV, Sundowners, Majestic Vanners, any NSW Van Clubs I'm not aware of and Individuals.
If we want to be heard we need to be organised and Actions speak louder than words.
Stand up and be counted.
Majestic Vanners are committed to this and will start things rolling. Get on board and be part of be movement.
Respond here with your intent on this "Neutral" Forum.
Don't Dilly Dally we need commitment by the 14th May 2010.
Keep on Vanning
Regards
Rusty

Re: NSW Van Council
It was tried before Rusty, if you remember, but lack of interest prevented it.
There was already 2 members from each club and i think Fres was the only independant.
Was spoken about at Wiseman's Ferry last year and Fres got the website organised, but only lasted a month or so.
Why would it be different now?

A long long time ago (1984)
in a state who's borders are far far away
Adark tall Lord from the distant star Albury Wod
endeavours to unite the followers of the "Checkered Prince" and the
"Yellow King of the Kiss Army". The people from the land of the Lowering Sun are at
peace with the Independent Warriors and look toward a new light under the Southern Cross

Re: NSW Van Council
Maybe you might draw more interest if the northen brothers (and sisters, sorry Kath) in QlD where intergrated into the nsw council and it might also increase numbers to be on par VVC and other such.
Just a thought
Also, Iam on the mid nth coast NSW but if I can be any help to a NSW council, Id only be more than happy to help out to get this happening

No need to apologise to me., but Qld vanners consider themselves better than all other australian vanners and don't consider anyone living below their borders, apart from myself and a few others as being worthwhile (thats why I dont belong to a qld group) Sad but true......

Re: NSW Van Council
It is definately worth a try. Especially if it brings unity amoung those who have issues and everyone supports each other and works together.
No state is any better than the others, there are just some states with more experience in the van scene than others and we are all equal. We all need to forget about this interstate rivalry as we are all Australian vanners and need to work together and communicate better to make our sport more popular and admired b other motoring enthusiasts.
Go for it Rusty and good luck
James

Re: NSW Van Council
Okay everyone, not long now.
Thank you all so very much for your support via this Forum, Emails, Texts and Phone Calls.
I have been distracted with all the Leg Work in putting A Van Nats Proposal together for Albury, and organising a Presentation Evening for our Cycling Club, so by the end of this weekend I will be back on this page.
It's about time we all got off our collective behinds, whinging about who, what, where and when; and put this Energy into moving the Van Scene forward by uniting the NSW Clubs and Individuals with an elected Committee to act as our Voice.
Truer words have never been said: "United We Stand, Divided We Fall!"
Yep, that's right, I'm full of old cliches, but there is a reason they are there - Truth in meaning.
Actions do speak louder than words, so stand up and be active. WE can do this together.
Anyway enough of my Rabbitting.
The Van Council is not about any 1 single person or Club; it's about ALL OF YOU!
Stand Up and be Counted.
Hope to see you on board.
Catch you next week.
Regards
