Radiator Filters Empty Radiator Filters

Post by Vannin 24/2/2010, 1:30 am

After recommendations from my engine guru & several other associates with some serious engines, I have just ordered a TEFBA Radiator Filter.

Frank Tonitto - TEFBA

These filters are bloody amazing, I was shocked at the amount of crap floating round in a brand new cooling system on a mates car, Engine is brand new (rebuilt) hot tanked & bathed the lot, brand new alloy radiator, everything fresh........ after 3 weeks, daily checking of the filter trap, he is still getting crap out of the filter.... eventually he will only be require checking filter monthly - once the quantity of crap drops off anyway!

With all the discussions over summer with Radiators, Overheating & Thermo Fan etc......

We checked the weight of a brand new radiator, then weighed my old one........
Wanna scare!!!!

Almost 11 kilograms heavier!!!!!! Thats nearly double the new one, Identical Radiators...... So since it's installation in July 1988 this radiator had trapped and stored 11 kgs of crap to block cores & eventually kill the radiators efficiency....

For around $70-00 these are a gem, fits in the top hose, takes 30sec to check & clean.....

Give Frank a shout direct if you want one, he invented it, manufactures it, 70+ years old and deserves all the business (not someone reselling at a higher price to profit). Will ship anywhere.

Great product, great support, Great Bloke....

All there on the website for ya Agro.....

Mine should arrive tomorrow in the post, inc freight $79..... & a few cents.
Picked up brand new radiator tonight, bit of tinkering tomorrow.
Bigger radiator mount brackets need to fabricate, modify the shroud on a set of EF/EL Falcon thermo fans, a little bit of electric spagetti and were back in business.

and way before frank started selling those is a thing called the radiator sock...around $60 cheaper and you dont need to cut your hose to put it in and it doesnt go brittle from the heat...does exactly the same job..
