How did I know you'd go there!!!!!!!
Very happy, but was looking at Holdens as well, just couldn't find decent van at a decent price....
Had almost a 3 hour drive to go get this one........ and 3 hours back........
Murray & I looked at a van for $4500.00 that my mechanic wouldn't put on the hoist cause of rust.... same van is now $5900.00...
I must have looked at 80+ vans over the last 6 months, all the time money burning a hole in my pocket, but I held out and very glad I did!
Looked at WB's & HZ's, nothing had the appeal or features I was looking for. This one has all but A/C and nothing to do but drive it & figure out what to mod & customize first!!!!

Re: My New Ride
Took her yesterday (Australia Day) on a make or break test run....... Almost Mildura....
Hooked the trailer on the back, thru in the engine crane & took off to James's Place.
Then we set off for a run to collect his new engine........ and back.
After all was done, travelled over to Sunbury & had pizza with the DVV...
Met up with some I already know & some new faces.
Popped round to Mika's to perve on his van (& Landau Coupe, but they ain't important enough to mention)..... (& I ask myself, mmmm do I need another XF, will Mika part with it) TO BE CONTINUED!!!
Van ran great with good economy (to my suprise!) for a Stroker. Never skipped a beat.
I paid good $$$$ for the van, but I really think for what it is, and how well it's been built and quality of parts & workmanship used in the build..... It has been money very well spent.
She really needs a bath now after the run, so on the way home from work I plan to stop at car lovers to give her a wash and some loving (a Detail & vacuum) when I get home!.......

Nice score and glad to see its looking after you; must be nice just to be able to jump in and drive something without having to do a full rebuild...

Re: My New Ride
Haven't had it a week yet & changed lots, with lots of changes to come.
but Yeah! It's been good to just jump in a cruise in it & enjoy it.
Only went van shopping cause the Blue Van I doing is going to take 12 to 18 months for Body & Paint.
Needed a Van worthy of the Nats at Easter - And Found It!! but They wanted more $$$ than I had for "JADE" so I got this instead! LOL

Re: My New Ride
You will Maz...... been out again tonight cruising and showing her off!
Kara loves her, & wants one now!
Went around to my wog mate Steve with all the Val's tonight, ended up with heaps of stuff he had left over from the many XF's he had.
"and ya need this, and this, oh and here's a gas strut that will keep ya bonnet up properly, & more & more"
Gotta love freebies!!!
Got my eye on a set of 15x295 12 slotters he has, but he's not sure yet if he will need them one day!

Re: My New Ride
Sound out the back is a little choked at the moment (for rwc reasons, was a tad loud) But a nice deep note.
I can only describe as early 70's Clevo Growl (like a Phase 3 HO I s'pose)
Give it a couple of weeks & will open the exhaust back up n let her breathe!
