BURNOUT CARS,,I dont get it.
Am I just getting old or is the idea of a burn out car a bit wierd?
Was at a small local car show n shine recently and over heard two young blokes talking about the mods they doing to there rides so they can enter the burn out challenge.
Why would someone invest time and bulk money into there pride and joy just to take it out and rev the crap out of it doing god knows what damage to the thing just to impress a few drunken yobs, after all there not the ones who will fork over the money to buy you a new clutch,g/box,diff or engine ,,,Its Insane
I guess Iam just old and things have past me by..What do you guys think?

this is one for ya to ask Sway about... hahahhahhahha the older he gets the more burnout cars he builds and more tyres fried....
burnout cars
we build them to have fun in unlike the young fools on the streets in there chook cookers we do it where it counts on the pad fun and money are the motavation. next time you talk to sway ask for a ride in blue fire it is awsome ,i was in the wagon at the spring car nats two years ago and have only recently wiped the smile of my face

It's 1 notch above going fullbore on in a straight line for 1/4 of a mile...............................
As long as it's off the public roads and people wanna do it......
I'll be cheering Sway on for more, till the pop!!!!!
Sway makes a definite skill look easy.

burnouts at events
G day all
this is something i love to do!!!
is hard to say, what it feels like untill you have dune a big monster burnout or been in the car. all that smoke, noise vibration just be for the tyres pop & keep going for the next to go. even better is bothe going at the sametime & the crowed erupt. there is no fun on the street. is better at events. trying to prove how good you are. people that do them at the out side of shows drive me made dont doit outside come & join in then see how it feels & you dont loose your car!!!!
the people i have taken out never for get it, some run to get back in or keep asking me to take them back out.
i think this is some of the resoason i do them.
the fun to con troll the car have it sideways or able to have the car to do anything. figer 8s side to side the track with the car facing forwards. one time with micka in the wagon pulling 6grand forwards stuck in a corner pull revers with the foot flat to the floor no change to the noise slowly went back but the guy on the hill fell forward in dis beleff thats the fun thats entertament for me but some may not like it.
hope this helps
be a hoon at the right events. driving events

Okie dokie
After watching sways video I think i better clarify what was confused about.
Sways ride and others like it are built for this type of thing at off road events and might i add WELL built too.
What i didnt understand was a guy sweating blood on a car just to rip the guts out of it down the local pub or supermarket in front of a group of yobs.
Consider me Told.

its the adrenalin that drives you to do it not the mob on the hill . i do it for the butterflies it gives me on the start line rich fuel mixtures burning your eyes then all hell breaks loose the instant choking smoke inside the cab the defening noise of it just under red-line . the severe vibration sitting inside a pair of alloy kirkys as the tyres start to delaminate ! then the ultimate rush is hoping the whole combo holds together for another go ! you step out shaking from head to toe ............. i love it

P.S plus you cannot compare ripping a skid in a single spinner commomhore out the back of some industrial area to that of a purpose built car tearing the tyres apart at speeds northward of 220km/h on the spot .
