Street Legal Tailgate

Just wondering how the tailgate hinges and from what points?
(Yes i know it attaches to the body)

I think it may be a side opening wagon style like some old Ford wagons had..dont know if Holden ever had a wagon tailgate that opened side ways..

Just looked at some of my photo's.....

Does look like the 2 way gate hinges from a mid 70's ford wagon.

This may seem odd to be using this name on this forum, but if you would like some pictures of how Streets tail gate works it might not hurt to give Rob an email. As Street legals gate was just a copy of the one found on Checkmate.

Just that i saw an Escort in CV&T and it had the same thing, so i was just wondering how they did it.
I have since found out some info on how it was done, so thanks anyway.
