in my honest opinion when you have a day like this i keep the sledge hammer well hidden, you on the other hand have it cocked and ready
foil lining looks good, keep at it it will work out,

When a roof console gets built in a Holden, SHOULD they get attached at the suniser and rear vision mirror mounts, or is there somewhere better?

Holden console
Hey Agro, you could always use a couple of tex screws straight through the roof turret,,,Just remember to silastic the shanks that stick out the top of the van so as it dont rust.

Don't laugh, i've seen it done.
It was a phone in-car kit and the control unit was screwed to the firewall on a suzuki carry van.
The screws stuck out 1/2" through the firewall. (silver screws on a dark blue van AND they stood out).

I know how much of a pain roof consules are, I've lost count of the number I have built, trashed, tried again......
Had the current Van for 5 years and this is consule number 7. Yep! Still not happy and it's coming down again.
Got a few new idea's now, like always, 99% complete, 100% better idea.

Hi John was great to chat with you last night,, i love your console... want to do mine ????
Re: New Console Mk4 the worse effort so far.
I'll get mine done right first (and make all the boo boo's on it!).
Think Muz wants one.......
Then I'll give it a hit, I will be better experienced to attempt a Monster consule thats would be required for yours!
