V12 Jag running gear in Holden van 1980's

Hey guys,
Does anybody remember a van that used to do the shows in the 80's that had a Jag v12 engine and auto through to an indipendent Jag rear, If memeory serves i think it was brown?? and had a monza or trans-am front and a roof spoiler. and lots of chrome.(of course)
Last time i saw it, I think it was in a car yard in Seven hills near Blacktown NSW but that was in the late 80's i think.
Would love to see a picture of it again.

the van you are thinking of is Alley Cat, still believed to be round the Richmond/Winsor area, if i have those towns correct

Always thought it was a manual? Build by the guy who owned the Chrome Exchange in Sydney, John Strachan.

as for the builder your right. as for auto or manual i cant remember.

Had a tunnel rammed 308 in it originally, many moons ago.

I AM pretty sure it had an auto because i think i remember the distictive jag t bar,but i could be wrong. after all it was 25years ago that i saw it,
And yep Vanner065 you got those town correct.

If its still around it would be a buzz to see it again.
Anybody got any pics of it? A tall request i know but hey you dont ask, you dont get...

seen some info on the Alleycat on another car forum a guy knows where it is l have to find which forum
it dont have the front on it anymore, l will do some searching let ya all know

according to the OLD testament, Alley Cat is Manual, Running M21 with Overbore Holden Donk. As of Aug '81 she was runnin the rear end of a XJ12 However... I'm not that sure on what anything After the heart transplant... would love to find some info and see some old show pics of Alley Cat... any one?

Alley Cat showed up at the All Holden Day in NSW about 4 or 5 years ago. The front of it is now a twin headlight statesman one and the body was still ok but a bit worn and the interior was still pretty good. My friend took some pics so i have asked him to send them to me so when i get them i will post em

some bloke came up to me the other week at the peddy station to have a look at my van we got talking about what im going to do to my van and about his old van a hq with a blown 350 flered gards hq gts flutes hz front full grill bumperettes all the good stuff
i didnt get his name but he sed he new the guy that owned or still ownes allycat mark i think it was ??
and he told me one side the tiger has one more toe nail on its foot then the other side

Somewhere in this computer room is a piece of paper that has the address of where Alley Cat is currently garaged - just need a good reason to go looking for it...

Nice to see it in 2002 but a shame its lost its monza front bit.
The bird sitting on the bonnet dosn't look early 80's though does she. we where sad back then.

the monza front end made it look a great and evil van, however i do like the 2002 new front end.

Id rather she was diggin those heels into ME
