new motor for the van
im looking to go for a bit of modernisation in my van,
so i rang up eagle auto spares,
i enquired about a the L98 (6.0L) they said it was $4950 and $1900 for loom, accelerator setup and computer.
then i asked out of curiousity wat a LS7 was worth and the told me $22000.
how can that one extra litre be 17000 more.
if i only had 22000 to spend on a motor.........

im hoping so, with a decent tune, they can usually get 10-11L per 100 km, where as my 6cyl averages 15-20L/100kms.

yes the p plate laws are shocking,
but no 308 or 350 for me, 364 c.i. all the way, u cant get enough power out of the old motors and still retain fuel economy of sum description. i wanna be able to drive to the van nats/ van events and not have to worry about my fuel bill being 500bucks each way. haha

Re: new motor for the van
hey who says u cant run, a hi rise manifold and carb style throttle body on a new motor.
u still get the look, just not the fuel bill. altho the initial setup up cost is a bit more than, the 308 or 350

i dont think u can with the emission laws but im not 100% on that plus i think the fuel economy would go out the window and end up the same as if u used an old block
